Revs, Crew Release Updated Injury Reports

Take a look at the most recent injury reports of both the Revs and Crew before Sunday's match.

With the second leg of their Eastern Conference Semifinals showdown looming, both the New England Revolution and Columbus Crew released their injury reports on Friday.

For the second consecutive week, the Revolution’s sole inclusion was Shalrie Joseph, who remains out with a left groin strain. Joseph has not seen game minutes since rejoining his original club in April.

Meanwhile, the Crew’s injury report includes contributors Bernardo Anor and Federico Higuain. Both players are listed as questionable with Anor ailing from a left hip strain and Higuain struggling with a right calf strain. There’s also concerns about Aaron Schoenfeld as Adam Jardy, writer for The Columbus Dispatch, reported that the striker picked up a knock in training.

Jardy provided some insight into the extent of these injuries when he sent the following tweet:

If any, or all, of these Crew players are unable to participate, it would be a huge blow for the visitors. Although he was a substitute last week, Anor gathered six goals and one assist during the regular season. Higuain has haunted the Revs since entering the league as he has scored four free kick goals against New England. Even Schoenfeld, who has been inconsistent when it comes to scoring, can be a handful as made evident by his goal and assist against the Revs on October 19, 2013.
