The United States has announced the lineup that fill face Guatemala in San Diego tonight (11 PM EDT, NBC Sports Network). Jurgen Klinsmann has decided to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation that has lead the senior USMNT to first place in the Hex.

USA Lineup: GK Nick Rimando; RB Michael Parkhurst, CB Oguchi Onyewu, CB Clarence Goodson, LB DaMarcus Beasley [C], RDM Kyle Beckerman, LDM Jose Torres, RM Joe Corona, AM Landon Donovan, LM Edgar Castillo, ST Herculez Gomez

Guatemala Lineup: Jerez; Castrillo, Vásquez, Hernández, Gallardo; López, Trujillo, Márquez, Contreras, Santeliz, López; Campollo.

There aren't a whole lot of surprises here, although seeing Edgar Castillo in the left midfield spot in front of Beasley should create the same switching on the left wing that Beasley and Fabian Johnson have with the first team as they're both defender/midfield hybirds. Castillo saw some time at left back in World Cup qualifying action and got forward very well.

Seeing former Revolution defender Michael Parkhurst at right back is great. He hasn't seen time with the top team this year, despite being on the bench for a number of games. A solid performance in the Gold Cup should solidify his spot for the rest of the qualifying campaign and perhaps his play could give Jurgen Klinsmann another option at right back.

Stuart Holden is the biggest US player on the bench right now, and it will be interesting to see where Klinsmann uses him, with a holding partner for Beckerman or as the attacking mid Donovan/Dempsey role being the most likely.

You all know the drill. Discuss the action as it unfolds below!
