Revolution vs. Chivas 2013: Lineups and Live Game Thread

The New England Revolution face off against Chivas USA in California at 10:30 PM EDT.

USA TODAY Sports

It's match time, and the lineup choices are utterly baffling. New England Revolution head coach Jay Heaps had to replace Andrew Farrell, and decided to go with Ryan Guy at right back. Guy is a versatile player, willing to put the work in anywhere on the pitch, but the Revs have tried him at right back before, and it never works out particularly well. Why he's in with Darrius Barnes seemingly available is beyond comprehension, although Guy did have a decent run at the position at the end of 2012.

Juan Agudelo, it appears, suffered a "right knee sprain" during the midweek Open Cup loss. According to a tweet from Jeff Lemieux, he'll be gone for a while. That explains the Bengtson start, and will be a major, major blow for the Revs both tonight and going forward.
