Bobby Shuttleworth: Average Rating - 9.375 (Steve 9, Corey 10, Matty 8.5, Kizito 10)

Steve: Nine saves, excellent shot-stopping, decent distribution, and another clean sheet...Corey: That's a straight up 10 performance right there. He just set the bar for himself for the rest of the season. I can't believe this is the same keeper. He looks like a new man out there...Matty: Several key saves, and good positioning on the night. Ho hum, another clean sheet...Kizito: Like many have said, that was a phenomenal performance. This season - as dire as it seems - would be completely lost if he wasn't in such fine form.

Darrius Barnes: Average Rating - 5.375 (Steve 5, Corey 5.5, Matty 6, Kizito 5)

Steve: Average on the night, didn't notice him much, which isn't necessarily bad...Corey: Looked rusty and was a step behind the play at times, was just awkward when passing the ball around. Made up for any of that with some important clearances...Matty: Good coverage, but seemed a little out of sorts on the outside. I expect that to get a little better with more minutes...Kizito: Seemed out of sorts. Misplaced passes, ball-watching and weak positioning. Like a Jerry in defense. Hopefully it's a one game thing

Jose Goncalves: Average Rating - 8.5 (Steve 8, Corey 8.5, Matty 8.5, Kizito 9)

Steve: Imperious, aggressive, fiery, and yet composed. Excellent as captain, too...Corey: Another stellar night. It was clear why he was given the captain's armband, he is the glue on this backline. He held it down and looked to be in-sync with McCarthy and Shuttleworth...Matty: Dominant in the air, great leadership, truly a great signing...Kizito: The second savior. Clearances, composure and command within the defense. Last ditch tackles along with the ability to stand up forwards. He seems to keep getting better.

Stephen McCarthy: Average Rating - 6.75 (Steve 5.5, Corey 7.5, Matty 7, Kizito 7)

Steve: Solid, exerted his aerial dominance. Not as spectacularly good as JoGo, but solid nonetheless...Corey: Looked confident and composed, but had some shaky moments at times. Overall, a solid outing. Is he making his case to remain in this Starting XI even when Soares is healthy again?...Matty: Just as dominant as JoGo in the air, showing more solid understanding of the position and role...Kizito: Competent display, did his job and communicated well. Can't ask for more from a defender.

Bilal Duckett: Average Rating - 4.125 (Steve 4, Corey 4.5, Matty 5, Kizito 3)

Steve: Got eaten for lunch more than once. He was in a tough spot, though, coming in on such short notice...Corey: I can't say that i blame him for much of his shortcomings, being that he was called in on emergency, but he was on a completely different page at times. Gave the ball away plenty, but at least was able to track back well on defense. It was clear why we are loaning him to Rochester for the season...Matty: A step slow, seemed to struggle with the pace of MLS, but still got the job done...Kizito: Misplaced passes put the defense under pressure. Looked scared and that meant the opponents tried to feast on him, seemed to play with a lot of nerves.

Ryan Guy: Average Rating - 5.875 (Steve 5.5, Corey 6, Matty 6, Kizito 6)

Steve: Had his difficulties in the final third, and was sloppy as a passer, but played excellent defensively...Corey: Started off kinda iffy with some unfortunate giveaways, but started to really look sharp once he settled down. Gave us a lot of pace and defensive cover, too. Dangerous on the wing, found space and made opportunities. Wasn't his best outing, but I think he needs to be penned into that LM/LW spot until further notice...Matty: Good energy and coverage, but really needs to limit the needless giveaways of possession...Kizito: Speed and intelligence. Though nothing spectacular, helped defensively and was an outlet once we got the ball. I have confidence that he will be critical in the Open cup.

Lee Nguyen: Average Rating - 5.375 (Steve 5.5, Corey 5.5, Matty 5.5, Kizito 5)

Steve: Understated after a breakout performance last week. He had ten recoveries, though, at all points on the field. That's huge...Corey: The confidence was there, but disappeared too often for too long of stretches. Wasn't the same Nguyen as last week, but it was a totally different environment and gameplan...Matty: Kind of quiet night after such a solid game against Philly, but he still impacts the game in so many ways...Kizito: Not sure if he was tired or just not mentally there but the midfield was a bit behind the pace of the game so he might have been a victim but not at all a good performance.

Kalifa Cisse: Average Rating - 5 (Steve 5, Corey 5, Matty 5, Kizito 5)

Steve: Looked off, may have been carrying an injury. Was 7/7 on passing, but also got dispossess three times. Defensive work was good...Corey: Looked out of sorts, couldn't get on the same page with the rest of the midfield. Seemed like it was just an off game for him...Matty: Did he seem a little off to anyone else?...Kizito: Another midfielder a little behind. Could still be a fitness issue since he just recently returned, very disappointing though.

Kelyn Rowe: Average Rating - 6.25 (Steve 6, Corey 6, Matty 6, Kizito 7)

Steve: Most involved of the attacking midfielders, finishing still needs help. Still losing it on the dribble, but he's been a spark since his move inside...Corey: Generated plenty of spark and did well defensively, but could do better with his opportunities on goal. Needs to work on his finishing. Still glad to see him taking chances when he has space...Matty: Just so much better when he plays centrally. I really feel like it's going to accelerate his development...Kizito: I love him. Very classy and calm, has an eye for openings and teammates. I would love to see him assert his dominance more. He always seems to be the best in the center.

Diego Fagundez: Average Rating - 5.875 (Steve 5.5, Corey 6, Matty 6, Kizito 6)

Steve: Loses the ball off his feet a bit too much, but is bringing real verve as the right winger...Corey: Thought he played well, and was looking dangerous for stretches. Didn't let himself get out-muscled too much. I probably would have kept him on instead of subbing him off for Sene, but that's just me...Matty: Like what he is bringing to the table as winger, and he's really starting to come into his own out there. Looks like he belongs...Kizito: Would have loved a repeat performance from last game but still did his job well. You can see he's full of confidence and I think he will get his rewards this season.

Jerry Bengtson: Average Rating - 3.75 (Steve 4, Corey 4, Matty 4, Kizito 3)

Steve: Looked less effective than last week, if that's possible. Interestingly, his passing was pretty good statistically, but he gets dispossessed too often...Corey: Made some good runs I suppose, but really isn't helping us out much. Maybe if he could put more headers on frame he'd make up for the rest of his shortcomings. He's just not the striker we need. I've got gallons of Bengtson haterade right now...Matty: Slump buster. Soon. Please...Kizito: Surprised that he started but that's just my own personal bias. Nothing new from what we've seen all season. Will need to do better to keep his place.

Scott Caldwell (sub): Average Rating - 5 (Steve 5, Corey 5.5, Matty 5.5, Kizito 4)

Steve: Clean and careful with the ball, not as good defensively as Cisse but still played pretty well...Corey: Pacey and sharp, but gave up his positioning too often with ill-timed challenges. Had some uncharacteristic giveaways. Wish he had been able to do more for us...Matty: Different game than Cisse, as he brings more to the table on the offensive side of the ball, overall I thought he played quite well...Kizito: It's better to keep positioning if you're not confident in winning tackles which he failed to do. Maybe he was trying hard to impress but it's better to be calm in those situations.

Saer Sene (sub): Average Rating - 5 (Steve 5, Corey 5, Matty 6, Kizito 4)

Steve: Should have scored. Was dangerous and linked well in attack overall...Corey: He was fine, but he needs to finish on those easy ones. With Jerry looking less and less like a suitable option for us up top, Sene needs to shake off that rust quick and get back to his old ways...Matty: Immediately made an impact, and if not for a wonderful save from Ricketts, might have won the game...Kizito: Should have won the game.

Dimitry Imbongo (sub): Average Rating - 5.5 (Steve 5, Corey 5.5, Matty 5.5, Kizito 6)

Steve: Can't believe I'm saying this, but he looks pretty good. Might deserve a start...Corey: Impressed me again. Has some good wheels, and apparently can put in a good cross. He needs to be given more minutes, I'm hungry for more. I thought for sure he was going to win it for us...Matty: Did anyone else feel like Imbongo looked the best he may have ever looked? Smooth passing, nice touches, and a physical presence. Could he possibly push Jerry for some minutes?...Kizito: Best of the subs, should really start over Jerry. When he's not threatening the defense individually, he's making chances or half-chances for teammates.
