Hello everyone and welcome to The Bent Musket's first-ever MLS Cup Playoffs live thread! The New England Revolution have made the postseason for the first time in this blog's existence, and they will face formidable Sporting Kansas City in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals tonight. This is the first leg of a home-and-home series.
You already knew all that.
The lineup tonight features two noteworthy decisions: first, the question of Dorman or Caldwell has been answered, and the answer is Dorman. The move is likely dictated by Dorman's recent strong play and by the physical style usually employed by Sporting. The second decision is starting Darrius Barnes at left back. It would be curious, even inexplicable, but for the fact that neither Chris Tierney nor Kevin Alston appear in the lineup. Apparently neither could over come his injury to suit up.
The live thread is in the comments below. GET IT GOING, WE'RE IN THE PLAYOFFS, GUYS.
