Tonight the New England Revolution will conclude their 2012 series against Sporting Kansas City at home in Foxboro as they desperately seek a full 3 points before their playoffs dreams have fully passed them by for the season. With a tough run on the road, playing 3 games and only securing 1 point (against Kansas City), the Revs will hope that they can return to winning ways back at Gillette Stadium.
The big news coming into tonight's match is that it will be the Revs' first without their long-time captain Shalrie Joseph, who was shipped to Chivas USA earlier this week as part of a trade that brought Blair Gavin to New England (along with allocation money and a 2013 draft pick). Can the Revolution make it happen without the on-field (and off-field) presence of Joseph? I guess we'll just have to find out.
