After every match this season, the staff here at The Bent Musket will be putting together player ratings. Ratings are on a 1-10 scale, with 5 representing a thoroughly average performance, and 6 a decent/capable showing. The final ratings will be averages of individual ratings from Corey Major and Brendan Schimmel. Hurricanes, travel, and other issues precluded a full set this week.

Matt Reis: Average Rating - 4 (Corey 5, Brendan 3)

Corey: Could have been worse but could have been better I feel...Brendan: Scout your opponents. Organize your wall accordingly. Could he have done more? I think so, we've been awful on set pieces period this year, this falls under that category for me. The last goal he stuck a hand out? Really?

Chris Tierney: Average Rating - 4.5 (Corey 5, Brendan 4)

Corey: Good not great. Couple disappointing giveaways. Service not up to par...Brendan: Caught keeping people onside a few times. Crosses and build up okay but become predictable.

A.J. Soares: Average Rating - 4.25 (Corey 5.5, Brendan 3)

Corey: Decent night but need him to be what we know he can be...Brendan: I don't know who's in charge of leading the offside trap. Just like Macca sprayed so many balls long under zero pressure for no reason.

Stephen McCarthy: Average Rating - 3.5 (Corey 5, Brendan 2)

Corey: Mental lapses will cost us every time...Brendan: His pointless head ball to no one led to the breakaway in which he was beat on terribly for the second CLB goal. His foul in a stupid area led to the first. He bit inexplicably on the last goal which left him flat footed off his mark and once again chasing a breakaway.

Kevin Alston: Average Rating - 4 (Corey 4, Brendan 4)

Corey: Typical alston, tracks back and defends well, but absolutely kills attacks (see 54')...Brendan: Covered some ground, had some good tracking back to cover for the CB being a mess, but too much possession lost and poor passing rate.

Benny Feilhaber: Average Rating - 5.5 (Corey 6, Brendan 5)

Corey: Didn't hate Feilhaber playing more out wide, looks like he was more on the left. Much better than last few outings...Brendan: Why isn't he all over the team when they blow a two goal lead? When Guy blows goals and Rowe misses passes that would have been goals why isn't he all over them? I want to see leadership when hope is lost, not when we're up 2-0.

Clyde Simms: Average Rating - 5.5 (Corey 6, Brendan 5)

Corey: So clutch in the middle, such a vital piece to the puzzle. His mental lapses have a domino effect...Brendan: Dude did not have a lot of touches.

Ryan Guy: Average Rating - 5.5 (Corey 7, Brendan 4)

Corey: Looked to be playing more centrally and I loved him there. Super involved all night, worked hard. Showed that he deserves to be in the starting xi week-in and week-out...Brendan: Early in first half missed opportunities where playing the ball to space would have created and odd-man rush. Rowe was available on the wing. Took shots which is refreshing.

Kelyn Rowe: Average Rating - 4.25 (Corey 5, Brendan 3.5)

Corey: What am I missing about this kid? I just don't see much to be excited about. Talent is there, but needs to be honed in on. Needs more time...Brendan: You need to connect a square pass on a break to two open streaking teammates.

Saer Sene: Average Rating - 4.25 (Corey 5.5, Brendan 3)

Corey: Way more involved, showed a bit more muscle than usual. Needs to hesitate less, though. Less hesitation will lead to more production...Brendan: Worst game by far. The honeymoon is over. Lacks any creativity with the ball at his feet and comically falls over it like baby Bambi on ice. He looks like he hesitates on the ball but it's just him realizing that everyone in MLS can shut down his only route, his left foot. He needs to get stronger on the ball when it needs to be held up. First touch awful. Watch the second Revs goal highlight after Benny wins the ball and has space in front of him, Sene stands 5 feet from him asking for the ball rather than springing loose for the run. He actually makes Benny easier to defend against.

Jerry Bengtson: Average Rating - 6 (Corey 7, Brendan 5)

Corey: Had a great outing. Came damn close to a hattrick. Glimpses of what we can look forward to next season...Brendan: Jerry will need an offseason to adjust to his MF/FWD and the league. I don't think he has any idea how he will get the ball so he can't show for it. Build up play nonexistent.

Fernando Cardenas (sub): Average Rating - 5.5 (Corey 5, Brendan 6)

Corey: Hard to say. Average outing but didn't really see enough to judge...Brendan: I love him, keeps the ball on his feet and at his feet.

Lee Nguyen (sub): Average Rating - 6.5 (Corey 6, Brendan 7)

Corey: Force to be reckoned with. Instant jolt of energy. Clearly has the trust of his teammates to make the right decisions when he has the ball...Brendan: So good on the ball with great vision. Wish Benny handled the ball at Nguyen's pace.

Diego Fagundez (sub): Average Rating - 6 (Corey 6, Brendan 6)

Corey: Best I've seen out of him all season. More of that, bro...Brendan: Understood his role and executed. Good runs, great off the ball movement.
