Musket Rounds: Senda Athletics, Blatter Gets Booed, Imbongo, And More

In something of a change of pace from our normal Musket Rounds, I would like to place a clipping right up here at the top of the page in an effort to put the spotlight on it that it deserves. After that, on to New England Revolution news and other links as usual.

The Beautiful Game: Fair Trade And Soccer " The Shin Guardian
This is an excellent article in TSG's Beautiful Game series that spotlights Senda Athletics, a fair-trade soccer ball company. The company's founder, Santiago Halty (who also penned the piece), started an Indiegogo campaign to put together a documentary on the company, his fair-trade factory, and the importance of fair labor in the athletics industry. It's well worth the read.

Typical great find from the TSG staff, and a really great organization founded on good principles. I hope all of you get a chance to read that. Now, on to the Rounds.

Sepp Blatter Was Booed By 80,000 People At The USWNT Medal Ceremony | KCKRS
80,000! Eighty thousand! Hahahaha eighty thousand booing people! Sepp Blatter took it all in stride, and after the ceremony lit a Cuban cigar with several benjamins and laughed at the peasants in Wembley. As he boarded his airship and coasted on the clouds in luxury and style back to Switzerland.
