Hello and good morning, welcome to today's Musket Rounds. The world of the New England Revolution has gotten a little more exciting in the last 24 hours with this weekend's home opener fast approaching. There is a crisis in defense due to injuries, which could be exacerbated by Benny Feilhaber's absence (not that he contributes to defense, just that having him out, too, makes things look particularly bleak), and there's a very real threat that New England will start the season 0-3, which could easily stretch to 0-5 given the Revs next two fixtures: away to LA and Dallas.
Anyway, to the Rounds:

Kyle McCarthy profiled Jeremiah White and asked him about his move to the States. Apparently he sought advice from Benny Feilhaber to help make the decision.

So it looks like Benny's strain is pretty serious. I hope he makes it, but if he doesn't...oh boy. At least the Revs aren't thin on attacking talent in the midfield. I suppose several guys could step into this void.

I'm not sure who Randy Covitz is, but he's a Globe correspondent who spoke to Jay Heaps about going down a man early in last weekend's game in his MLS roundup for Globe soccer.

In a blatant rip-off of TBM's "Know Thy Enemy" series (I'm kidding, guys ;) ), Brian O'Connell caught up with Kelly McLain from Timbers Insider to preview Saturday's home opener.
The Long Hello - New England Soccer Today
Looks like Jose Moreno is expected to arrive in Foxborough today, along with Flo Lechner. Theoretically, both could be eligible for Saturday, but I'd bet that Jay Heaps lets Moreno wait a week to gain fitness.

This article is a bit meaningless, but it's kinda interesting to see all the record goalscorers and how close current active players are. By the way - there isn't a soul anywhere near the Revs roster who's touching Taylor's record any time soon.
