Revolution vs. Union: Live Game Thread

The New England Revolution are at PPL Park to take on the Philadelphia Union tonight. Follow along with all the action on our live game thread.

Mark L. Baer-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The New England Revolution are about to take on the Philadelphia Union tonight at PPL Park in Chester, PA. This will be the third meeting between the two sides this season; the Union currently have a 1-1-0 advantage in 2012, winning 2-1 in Chester earlier in the season and drawing the Revs 0-0 at Gillette last month.

Tonight's match also represents an opportunity for the Revs to earn their first-ever victory over the Union. Philadelphia was an expansion side in 2010, and since entering the league they've posted a 3-0-3 record over the Revolution. The Revs will be looking to break that hex at PPL this evening. They'll unfortunately be without the services of several players, including defender Stephen McCarthy, who was listed as Out with concussive-like symptoms in the Tuesday injury report.

Per usual, the live blog will be moderated jointly between The Bent Musket and the guys from New England Soccer Today.
