The New England Revolution begin a three-match home stand on Saturday, October 1st against the Seattle Sounders. In addition, this weekend's clash is also the Revs' annual Breast Cancer Awareness game. Through partnerships with Making Strides for Breast Cancer, We Got Soccer and Adidas, New England will outfit players, staff and officials in a slew of pink accessories while raffling and/or auctioning game-worn or game-used gear.
Some of the accessories include:
- Pink Adidas Jabulani game ball
- Pink jerseys for Revolution goalkeepers
- Pink ribbon patches on Revolution jerseys
- Players wearing pink armbands
- Selected players wearing pink shoelaces and/or pink cleats
- Coaches and broadcasters wearing pink scarves
- Referees using pink whistles
- Pink game boards
Breast cancer survivors will also be presented on the field during pregame. The ProShop and retail stands will also offer breast cancer-themed products, sending a portion of the proceeds to breast cancer awareness organizations, and representatives from Making Strides for Breast Cancer will be on hand to collect donations. Once again, the Revs will team up with biddingforgood.com to offer online auctions in addition to raffles, making the following items available:
- Autographed game-worn pink ribbon jerseys from all 10 starting outfield players
- Autographed game-worn pink goalkeeper jersey
- Autographed pink-accented cleats from Diego Fagundez and Ryan Cochrane
- Autographed pink M.L.S.W.O.R.K.S. and Revolution scarves
- Autographed pink Gatorade sideline towels
- Team-autographed pink Adidas game balls, among other non-Revolution items provided by We Got Soccer
So if you missed out on Matt Reis's purple kit, now is your chance to get a hold of a pink one, instead. If you're looking for tickets, check out ScoreBig for cut-price Revolution tickets, or follow the tickets tab at the top of this page.
