Welcome to MLS First Kick 2011!

For the second season in a row, the Revs get the very unenviable task of taking on the Los Angeles Galaxy in Carson to open the campaign. This season, though, LA is already a match in on the schedule, while New England is just getting kicked off.

Kevin Alston, Ousmane Dabo and Didier Domi are unavailable for selection due to injury. LA's notable absence is Omar Gonzalez, while Juan Pablo Angel makes the bench as he returns to fitness.

Lineups after the jump.

Surprisingly, Stolica starts on the bench, as does Sainey Nyassi. The Revs are going with a 4-3-3 with Schilawski leading the line flanked by Perovic and Boggs. Hopefully, the gamble pays off, although frankly things couldn't be any worse than they were last Sunday against the Dynamo in Georgia.

Revolution: Reis; Barnes, Coria, Soares, Tierney; Boggs, Phelan, Joseph, McCarthy, Perovic; Schilawski

Bench: Shuttleworth, Mansally, Stolica, Dube, Nyassi, Sinovic, Cochrane

Galaxy: Saunders; Franklin, DeLaGarza, Leonardo, Dunivant; Beckham, Birchall, Juninho, Donovan; Magee, Barrett

Bench: Perk, Hejduk, Cardozo, Jordan, Stephens, Angel, Kirovski
