Welcome to the New England Revolution vs. San Jose Earthquakes live game thread! Pride and roster spots are on the line tonight as both teams are out of playoff contention. San Jose are coming off a 1-1 home draw with Sporting KC, while the Revs are looking to wash the taste of a 2-1 home loss to Seattle out of their mouths.

I won't say too much here since I'll be intently watching the USA vs. Honduras match up until kickoff, but I do have a quick point to make. Many people (myself included) see the next three matches as a great opportunity for the Revs to find out what fringe players like Ryan Kinne, Alan Koger, Andrew Sousa and Otto Loewy might be able to bring to the table next season. Apparently that view is not shared by Revolution management. Kinne is out with a nasal fracture, but Loewy and Sousa are on the bench with Koger nowhere to be found. As you'll see, the lineup is virtually unchanged last week, except to account for the absences of Matt Reis and A.J. Soares, both out with injuries.

Darrius Barnes is starting at center-back, though, so there's that to be happy about.

Lineups

Revolution: Shuttleworth; Tierney, Barnes, Cochrane, Alston; Zerka, Feilhaber, Joseph, Guy; Fagundez, Caraglio

Bench: Murray, Coria, Dube, Loewy, Phelan, Schilawski, Sousa

Quakes: Bingham; Beitashour, Hernandez, Burling, Morrow; Baca, Corrales, Cronin, Dawkins; Stephenson, Wondolowski

Bench: Busch, Gjertsen, Griffin, Leitch, Luzunaris, McLoughlin, Ring
