The Bent Musket, a New England Revolution community

The Writers of the Bent Musket rate the Revolution's recently-minted big trade for USMNT striker Juan Agudelo.

The Revs acquired Juan Agudelo in a trade with Chivas USA. They sent allocation in the other direction, and the young striker will join up with the team later this week.

In a move that has the MLS community buzzing, it was leaked this afternoon that the Revolution have completed a trade for Chivas USA striker and USA international Juan Agudelo. The price is apparently allocation money.

It may not have been expected at the start of preseason, but after a stellar February, Gabe Latigue earned his professional contract with the Revolution on Friday.

The Revolution confirmed the signing of Chad Barrett and Bilal Duckett on Monday. Of course, anyone who's read The Bent Musket lately saw this coming from a mile away.

Mike Burns hinted at the Supporters' Summit that another player may be on the way in this week, and he might have meant someone besides Chad Barrett. Is Bilal Duckett going to be that guy?

The Revolution offseason just got a bunch more active. After rumors and rumblings that started a few weeks ago, today they announced the signing of midfielder Kalifa Cisse, and then jettisoned four players into the waiver draft.
