Revs 2 - 0 Dynamo: Player Ratings & MOTM

The Revs beat Houston this past Saturday in what would have probably amounted to a huge payout if you could bet on MLS in Las Vegas (can you?) based on who scored the Revs' goals. There was one obvious MOTM, but some other key contributors as well.

3rd Yellow - Neal, Dorman Escape Red Cards

Did Jorge Gonzalez forget his red card at RFK stadium? Certainly looks like it, he had three chances to send a player off including twice to DC United's Lewis Neal in just the first half alone.

An Arbitrary Number of Thoughts: United vs. Revs

I really didn't want to have to re-live this one. But, alas, I guess I had to. Anyway, here's some food for thought as we look ahead to this weekend's match against the Houston Dynamo.

An Arbitrary Number of Thoughts: Revs @ Quakes

The first win of the season feels good, but will that feeling last? Before New England's big test against DC United this weekend, I take a look at a couple points from their stoppage-time victory against the Earthquakes last Saturday.

An Arbitrary Number of Thoughts: Revs vs. 'Caps

Vancouver came into Foxboro looking to build on their fairly impressive start to the season. The Revs were looking to stop the bleeding. In a way, both got what they wanted; the 'Caps got a point away from home and the Revs defense returned to form.

An Arbitrary Number of Thoughts: Union vs. Revs

Everyone likes lists these days right? Well here's one about the Revs' 1-0 loss to the Philadelphia Union this past weekend.

An Arbitrary Number of Thoughts: Dynamo vs. Revs

Believe me, I don't want to relive this match anymore than you do. So, let's get this over with. Here's some thoughts on what went wrong on Saturday.

Defense, Not Goalkeeper, Costs Revs in Opener

Bobby Shuttleworth's second half proves he's more than a capable keeper in MLS, but not even he should be expected to save everything.

Loss Indicative of What Needs to Change in 2014

The Revs may have lost to a very good Kansas City team on Wednesday night, but it was a match that showcased all of their weaknesses in one neat little package. Here's a few areas that need addressing in 2014.

Revs Win Late, Pacemaker Sales Skyrocket

The Revs played in a nervy, exciting game tonight to keep their playoff hopes alive. It was a 3-2 win, and if you have any nerves left afterwards, you're not a person.

3rd Yellow: Revs vs Dynamo - Heaps Outcoached Late

The Revolution were arguably the better side against Houston, but the scoreboard says otherwise. The 3rd Yellow breaks down the equalizer and Jay Heaps' second half.

3rd Yellow - Revs vs. DC - Revs Scored a Penalty

Yes, as it turns out the referees can award New England penalties, but was that first one legitimate? And just how far offside was Diego on that equalizer?

The 3rd Yellow - NE vs. MTL Pt. 1 - Reis Sees Red

Sorin Stoica issued a straight red card to Matt Reis just five minutes in last Sunday, throwing the Revolution's match with the Montreal Impact quickly into disarray. And while the rule is fairly clear, did Stoica apply it properly?

Post-Game Hangover: Impact @ Revs

It's hard not to be overwhelmingly upset when a game is thrust into near disrepair within the first 10 minutes. And when the refereeing is suspect practically all game, it makes matters worse. Corey attempts to sort out his emotions from last night.

Breakdown - Revs vs. Union - Contrversy vs. Philly

The Revs cruised to a 5-1 win, but the talking point will be Conor Casey's non-goal in the 2nd half. Did referee Allen Chapman get it right?

Post-Game Hangover: Reflections on August

It's been a while, but Corey is back with some reflections on the Revs' past few games. He sincerely apologizes for going AWOL, but hopes you'll understand once you read what he has to say.

Post-Game Hangover: Revs @ DCU

For the first time all season, the Revs have managed to occupy a playoff spot for more than a few hours. Now they have the task of keeping it for 13 more games, all against Eastern Conference opponents. But first, some thoughts on their win vs. D.C.

Post-Game Hangover: Revs' Last 3 Games

It's been a while since we've had a hangover around here, so I've thrown together a three-parter to make up for lost time. The Revs managed to avoid a full-on slump by getting a win against the Crew. But summer reinforcements might still be needed.

Revs 1-2 Dynamo Quotes and Highlights

The Revs lost a tough one last night to the Dynamo. Check out the highlights and get the quotes and comments from several Revolution and Dynamo players and coaches.

Post-Game Hangover: Reflections on Quakes @ Revs

What better way to close out the first half of the MLS season than to beat the Earthquakes and, at least for a couple hours, sit in a playoff spot? Yup, it was pretty nice. Here are some thoughts on the game that was.

Revs 2-0 San Jose: Quotes and Highlights

The Revs knocked off San Jose last night in dominant style, and in truth it could have been by a much higher score. Check out the full highlights and get quotes from Heaps, Tierney, Sene, and a few Quakes people as well.

Post-Game Hangover: Revs @ Chivas

The Revolution are still very much in the playoff race, despite picking up only 1 point instead of 3 out in Los Angeles against Chivas. There was some good (Caldwell, Barrett), some bad (Bengtson) and some UGLY (Sene). Here's some thoughts on it all.

Post-Game Hangover: Reflections on Revs @ 'Caps

Andrew Farrell will be hanging his head after this one, but collectively the Revs should keep their heads held high. New England stayed in the game, despite an early red card, and pulled within a goal of a draw. Now time to get to work.

Post-Game Hangover: Refelctions on DCU @ Revs

The chips didn't fall the Revolution's way on Saturday against their bitter rivals D.C. United, but there's plenty of reason to stay positive. New England remains in the playoff race, & Heaps' squad has proven that they can learn from their mistakes.

Talking 5-0 With LAG Confidential

No one wants to stop re-living the Revs' 5-0 win over the Galaxy. So let's not! We talked to Josie Becker of LAG Confidential to break down some of the story lines that came out of the match.

Post-Game Hangover: Reflections on LA @ Revs

The Revs are arguably the hottest team in MLS right now. And their secret is many-fold. Team chemistry, seized opportunities, and potent leadership are all ingredients in the Revolution's recent success. Can they keep it up? All signs point to yes.
