Brendan Faherty from Soccer Banter sat down with our own Brendan Schimmel to talk Revs and a little USMNT. Let's give him a little love for it.

Steve made his first appearance of the season on CSRN's Around the League podcast, taking 15 minutes to preview the New England Revolution season ahead of First Kick. Give it a listen.
Josh Hakala has been running TheCup.us as a labor of love for years now. Recently, he set up an IndieGoGo to try and raise money for a total revamp of the website. The campaign ends on 2/19 (short notice, I know), but if you can get to the site and contribute a little, it benefits all of American soccer.
PennLive blogger Derek Meluzio apparently fielded several emails looking for the skinny on Bilal Duckett when the Revs announced his signing. He responded with this overview of what to expect out of the Notre Dame alum.
White, 38, soon realised that a population of fewer than 200,000 people on the island would not yield a big enough crop of talent to harvest, so he's been searching for players with Guamanian heritage. "Our star player is Ryan Guy who was born in the US to Guam parents. He plays for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer," said White. "He was getting a few communications about joining the US national team. It took me six months to really sell him the vision of what we're trying to do and he now sees himself as a trail blazer. "He thought he could do much more good for football playing for Guam than the US."
Devin Pleuler put this together in another excellent analysis piece. With the SuperDraft coming up soon, it's important for us all to remember just how important it still is, even if we all wish we could just be developing through the academy instead of relying on the uncertainty of the college ranks.
With the MLS Combine looming and the SuperDraft nearly a week away, the New England Revolution are in a wonderful position to capture some prime youth talents for the future. The Revs not only hold the 4th pick in the draft from their dismal 9-17-8 regular season record, but three picks in the second round thanks to prior D.C. United and Chivas USA dealings....
Former Revs midfielder Marko Perovic signed with Iranian club Persepolis on 12/20/12. Perovic had a successful 2010 season which led to him receiving the team MVP award. His 2011 season was cut short due when the Gillette Turf Monster attacked him injuring his knee resulting in a season ending ACL tear. Since his recovery Perovic was last with Red Star Belgrade in his native Serbia. In hindsight staying with FC Basel who eventually saw competition in Champions League would have been the best bet. Best of luck to Marko.
