Brendan Schimmel is a native Rhode Islander and present-day Massachusetts resident who works as a network design engineer during the week and an Air National Guardsmen on weekends. A potent mixture of soccer and turf took away both of his ACLs, thereby relegating him to simply covering the game from the safety of a keyboard. He recently moved his personal blog The Indirect Kick to The Bent Musket as a column that features a variety of content from opinion to statistical analysis on the New England Revolution. A current season ticket holder, Brendan holds active leadership roles in both The Rebellion supporters group and American Outlaws: Providence. You can witness his soccer psychosis in the Fort on game day or on Twitter @TheIndirectKick.

White, 38, soon realised that a population of fewer than 200,000 people on the island would not yield a big enough crop of talent to harvest, so he's been searching for players with Guamanian heritage. "Our star player is Ryan Guy who was born in the US to Guam parents. He plays for the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer," said White. "He was getting a few communications about joining the US national team. It took me six months to really sell him the vision of what we're trying to do and he now sees himself as a trail blazer. "He thought he could do much more good for football playing for Guam than the US."
Former Revs midfielder Marko Perovic signed with Iranian club Persepolis on 12/20/12. Perovic had a successful 2010 season which led to him receiving the team MVP award. His 2011 season was cut short due when the Gillette Turf Monster attacked him injuring his knee resulting in a season ending ACL tear. Since his recovery Perovic was last with Red Star Belgrade in his native Serbia. In hindsight staying with FC Basel who eventually saw competition in Champions League would have been the best bet. Best of luck to Marko.
