The New England Revolution will end their 2015 preseason slate on Saturday when they face USL PDL side FC Tucson on the final day of the Desert Diamond Cup. The game, which is set to kickoff at 6:30 pm EST, will be streamed online.
The match will provide FC Tucson with an opportunity to send their fans home happy. The tournament hosts have yet to record a victory as they have lost to the Seattle Sounders, Real Salt Lake, and Colorado Rapids. Beating the MLS Cup runners-up would be a huge accomplishment for Tucson.
For the Revs, Saturday's game provides coach Jay Heaps with one last chance to give his players game minutes. The defense will be looking to build their chemistry, trialists will try to make an impression worthy of a contract, and attackers will hope to earn a starting spot. Keep a special eye on Juan Agudelo, who has yet to get on the score sheet despite looking sharp.
If these reasons aren't enough for you to tune in, the announcers for the game will be Jeff Lemieux and Brian Dunseth.
