The New England Revolution will be looking to rebound from Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Real Salt Lake when they resume Desert Diamond Cup play on Saturday. The Revolution's second game of the tournament will be played against the Colorado Rapids with a 7:30 pm kickoff.
The Rapids will also be looking for their first win of the DDC as they settled for a draw against Sporting KC earlier this week. After getting goals from Gabriel Torres and Dominique Badji, the Rapids conceded a halftime lead to ultimately tie 2-2. The team will hope that the arrival of Juan Ramirez, who is set to make his debut, will help secure full points.
For the Revolution, Saturday marks another chance for head coach Jay Heaps to assess the current state of his team. The battle at right back will be a focal point as Kevin Alston, Jeremy Hall, and Darrius Barnes compete for the starting spot. The midfield will also be an area of interest since Jermaine Jones and Lee Nguyen are currently sidelined. Their absences will give Kelyn Rowe, Daigo Kobayashi, and Diego Fagundez valuable minutes.
