Starting in defense for Charleston Battery is 36-year-old John Wilson. Wilson played for the Rhinos for 2004 and even made an appearance on loan to the New England Revolution from the Battery in 2002.
The Battery are starting Cuban goalkeeper Odisnel Cooper, who had a strong rookie campaign in 2013, and Cuban creative midfielder Maikel Chang. Chang will look to play transition from defense to attack while Jose Cuevas sits higher just in between speedy Jamaican forward Dane Kelly. Cuban center forward Heviel Cordoves will probably feature off the bench for the visitors as he has the physical build to play with his back to goal or as a target in the box.
Alec Sundly starts for the Rhinos, as he has done most of the season, but he is only Revolution loanee in the squad. Jossimar Sanchez has been on the outside looking in for most of the summer but Luis Soffner has oddly missed two games in a row. Former Rev draft pick Pierre Omanga is on the bench for the second game running but has not yet made his season debut for Rochester.
