Where are they now?

Trevor Ruszkowksi-USA TODAY Spor

As I impatiently wait for the new couple of weeks to pass by and the Revolution season to start, I decided to look at what happened to the players who wore a Revolution jersey in 2013 but not in 2014. This is what I found:

1) New Club after contract expired:

a. Juan Agudelo – FC Utrecht – Netherlands (on loan from Stoke City)

2) Retired:

a. Matt Reis

b. Clyde Simms

3) New Club after being cut from the club:

a. Chad Barrett – Seattle – US

b. Matt Horth - Leiknir Reykjavík – Iceland

c. Bilal Duckett - Charlotte Eagles - US

4) Unemployed after being cut from the club:

a. Juan Toja

b. Ryan Guy

c. Tyler Polak

d. Gabe Latigue

What surprised in that list is that other than Latigue, who was in D2 last year, we had 3 players on the roster than could not find a job anywhere else. That is shocking, and showed the low quality-level of our bench.

Fun question: Of the current roster, who do you think is in the 4th category of being "only employable by the Revs?" I would vote for either Imbongo or Alston.
