Bobby Shuttleworth: Average Rating - 7 (Steve 6.5, Corey 7.5, Kizito 7)
Steve: Didn't have a whole lot to do all night, one especially key save on Brockie, distribution off...Corey: Continuing his impressive form but made a few shaky/questionable decisions and wasn't challenged as much as in recent games...Kizito: Once again bailed the defense out from some mistakes. Didn't make any costly errors either.
Chris Tierney: Average Rating - 6.33 (Steve 6, Corey 7, Kizito 6)
Steve: Passing was so-so, defense was average, but he picked up the assist and put in dangerous service...Corey: Defensively had a few miscues, but so valuable in the attack on the night. Would love to see him start at LM sometime soon...Kizito: While good going forward, his job first of all is to defend and he wasn't very impressive. Still did his job well.
Jose Goncalves: Average Rating - 7.5 (Steve 7, Corey 8.5, Kizito 7)
Steve: One mistake went unpunished. Otherwise, good distribution, rock-solid defensive work...Corey: Should be in the MLS all-star game. Had one scary moment where he should have cleared out instead of looking for a pass...Kizito: Great minutes the one mistake that almost gave a goal to TFC. Can't make those mistakes.
Stephen McCarthy: Average Rating - 6.67 (Steve 6, Corey 8, Kizito 6)
Steve: Nearly conceded a goal, but did the rest of his defensive work with minimal fuss. Passing could have been a touch better...Corey: Had a scary moment, but was great in the air keeping crosses out of the box. Glad he was able to go after all...Kizito: Did his job, made some mistakes but they weren't costly.
Andrew Farrell: Average Rating - 6 (Steve 5, Corey 7, Kizito 6)
Steve: Good defensive work made up for average passing, horrendous crossing, and a really bad throw-in percentage...Corey: Much better than his last couple outings, but needs to work on his crossing/shooting, whichever it is he's trying to do...Kizito: Forgetful but not bad performance. Needs to be more accurate in deliveries and position better.
Scott Caldwell: Average Rating - 5.5 (Steve 5.5, Corey 6, Kizito 5)
Steve: Lot of talk of his giveaways, but the chalkboard tells a different story. 82% passing is pretty good. Not sure he has the bite for the deep holding position, though...Corey: Thought he as the weakest player out there. Had some good plays, but had WAY too many giveaways. Not suited for the CDM position IMO...Kizito: Has to protect the defense better. One touch/two touch passing in that position.
Juan Agudelo: Average Rating - 8.17 (Steve 8, Corey 8.5, Kizito 8)
Steve: Misplaced only two passes all game. Little overconfident in his dribbling, but scored and made seriously intelligent, dangerous runs...Corey: Was all over the place and did well defensively when he needed to. Looked far more dangerous when he was moved up top though...Kizito: Worked hard, created space and kept making runs. Earned a deserved goal.
Juan Toja: Average Rating - 6.67 (Steve 6, Corey 7, Kizito 7)
Steve: Crisp passer, moved well, seemed better able to link with teammates. Still gets dispossessed a little too often...Corey: Looked much better than in recent games. Seemed to link up with his teammates better, which was something he really needed to work on...Kizito: Not sure what happened but the wizard played a lot better. Worked harder for the team too.
Lee Nguyen: Average Rating - 7.5 (Steve 7, Corey 8.5, Kizito 7)
Steve: Rumors of his demise are proving exaggerated. Surgical passing, dangerous shot, once again the glue holding the midfield together...Corey: Hungry for goals, yet patient and unselfish. Maybe needs to be a bit more selfish at times in the 18. Great night...Kizito: Awesome shot that cannoned off the bar. Worked hard in midfield and was extremely composed.
Diego Fagundez: Average Rating - 8.67 (Steve 8, Corey 9.5, Kizito 8.5)
Steve: Brimming with confidence. Scored excellently, nearly set up two more and had another himself. Had a scary-high number of turnovers, though...Corey: This kid just gets better and better. Thought he could have tried to find a teammate instead of shooting on one occasion which is why I've deducted .5 points...Kizito: Love him, was everywhere. Scored a great goal, almost assisted a few more and was a problem the whole game.
Jerry Bengtson: Average Rating - 5 (Steve 4, Corey 6, Kizito 5)
Steve: You can see the effort and drive, but his stone-footed touch, poor passing, and high number of turnovers are unacceptable without goals...Corey: More involved, which I think is largely thanks to the support he was getting from Diego and Juan, but was still disappointing in the end...Kizito: Tried but it still looks as if it's just not his season.
Kelyn Rowe (sub): Average Rating - 6.83 (Steve 6.5, Corey 7, Kizito 7)
Steve: His biggest contribution was a positively mesmerizing through-ball from behind the halfway-line to spring Diego late on. Worked hard throughout...Corey: Brought great energy and was a good sub. Defensive work rate is vastly improved. Hope he is fit to go against Rochester on Tuesday...Kizito: really like his game, calm, clean on the ball. Tracks back very well and great strength to win back balls.
Saer Sene (sub): Average Rating - 6.5 (Steve 6, Corey 6.5, Kizito 7)
Steve: Still looks behind the pace, but the assist was good and he's still dangerous...Corey: Seems like he is still not fully there. Looked awkward at times, but obviously did very well to assist on Agudelo's goal...Kizito: Was slow in possession at the beginning but improved and got an assist.
