It's game time again, and this time the New England Revolution have traveled to Ohio to take on the Columbus Crew. A win here would snap a seven game winless run and a four-match losing streak, but history is not on the side of the Revs; since 1996, New England's away record against the Crew is any abysmal 6-15-6.
Let's face it, folks: this is starting to get difficult. And tonight does not promise to be much different. Even if the Revs put together a good performance, the Crew is a team that knows how to clog the middle of the pitch and suffocate a team's creativity. A draw here - which would be creditable - is likely to be about as exciting as a root canal. A ringing endorsement, I know.
Nevertheless, we soldier on, because as history has shown, the minute we expect the Revs to do absolutely nothing and be boring, their games can suddenly become massive goal fests. Join us after the jump for lineups and our live thread, run jointly with New England Soccer Today.
