The New England Revolution are at PPL Park tonight to take on the Philadelphia Union in their first if three matches this season. The Union (6-10-2) sit just behind the Revs (6-9-5) towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, but have found inspired form under interim coach John Hackworth who stepped in when Peter Nowak and the club parted ways in June.
For the Revs, they will be looking to build on their impressive defensive performance against Sporting Kansas City last Saturday, but also desperately need to convert their chances offensively and get some goals flowing. Three points tonight will get the Revs right back into the race for a playoff spot, while also keeping Philadelphia off their heels, for now at least.
After the break we'll have lineups for both sides, and of course our Live Game Thread. So join us, won't you!
