It's midsummer, and you know what that means: MLS All-Star season! This year the best (or most famous, depending on your viewpoint) in MLS are all set to take on European champions Chelsea FC. It isn't the first time that Chelsea has clashed with league XI on these shores; the 2006 All-Star game was a match-up between the two sides that ended in a 1-0 victory for MLS. The 2012 MLS captain Dwayne De Rosario scored the winner in that match six years ago.
Unfortunately, there are no New England Revolution players in the mix this season, as 2012 marks the first time in a dog's age that Shalrie Joseph didn't earn a selection. Nevertheless, we remain committed to providing coverage of this yearly event, so follow along with us after the jump! Per usual, this live blog is handled in conjunction with New England Soccer Today. Those of you who are feeling observant will also notice that this blog is the same one that ran for Football at Fenway. We're cheap like that.
