The New England Revolution are all set to take on Sporting Kansas City at Livestrong Sporting Park in the Midwest tonight. This will be the second time that the Revs have faced SKC this season; in the first meeting, also in Kansas City, the home side plastered the Revs 3-0. Hopefully this match-up is a little more even.
Normally, I wouldn't pontificate, and I'd just let the live blog speak for itself. But I need to mention this: Jay Heaps has benched Saer Sene. Maybe he's just giving him a break, maybe not, but Heaps elected not to start any of his other strikers. This sounds like a message to me.
Lineups
Revolution: Reis; Barnes, Soares, McCarthy, Alston; Tierney, Joseph, Feilhaber, Rowe, Nguyen; Guy

Sporting: Nielsen; Sinovic, Besler, Collin, Harrington; Nagamura, Zusi, Peterson; Convey, Sapong, Kamara
Bench: Kronberg, Bunbury, Olum, Saad, Markovic, Cesar, Thomas
