Caraglio signs for Chilean club, Lekic concerned about MLS contracts ....

Couple of pieces I found on the web.

First, our friends at New England Soccer Today reports that Milton Caraglio has signed with a Chilean club, C. S. D. Rangers. Here is the link: http://nesoccertoday.com/?p=8201

This is a definite weakening of an area which was not a strong point last year. It might not have been the weakest (that was the defense) but it cannot say that the Revolutions are better without Caraglio.

More on Lekic after the jump ....

According to the Examiner (here is the link: http://www.examiner.com/pro-soccer-in-boston/denmark-s-rajko-lekic-semi-guaranteed-mls-contracts-too-risky) Rajko Lekic would like to stay with the Revs but is concerned about the semi-guaranteed contracts of the MLS. I am not a contract expert but I do not know any other league which has semi-guaranteed contracts.

Lekic has seen what was done to Stojlica and is worried as he has two kids. Losing him and Caraglio would definitively be a bad news for the Revs. It will force the Revs to sign new strikers and given their signing records, it makes me worry.

Currently, the two strikers are Schilawski and Fagundez. Diego will not last a season in this league with all its leg breakers and Schilawski is not MLS level. So right now we have NO OFFENSE.

Wow! That really excites me!

The situation is SO TERRIBLE that it will force the F.O. to make some moves. They have to. They must. Or they will end last in the standings and in attendance.

In the mean time, New York, Montreal or even Toronto looks way more interesting .....

Viva Les Revolucions!
