Revs Chosen as Least Ambitious Franchise

Grant Wahl, failed candidate for the FIFA presidency and writer at SI.com on all things football has listed all 19 MLS franchises in order of perceived ambitions. Not surprisingly, LA is #1, followed by Seattle and NY. Not surprisingly either, our beloved Revs are last.

Here is the commentary that follows the Revs entry:

No fan base sends me more complaints about its own team ownership than New England's. The Revs play in an NFL stadium far from any city, and any hopes for an urban soccer stadium in Boston remain talk and little more. Spending some money to make Shalrie Joseph a DP has been the exception to the rule in New England. Winning seems terribly important to the Kraft family when it comes to the New England Patriots, but how much do the Krafts care about the Revolution?

Here is the whole article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/grant_wahl/12/15/mls.teams.ambition/index.html#ixzz1gitpsvM9 So you have it folks. We are officially #1.... From the bottom!

Agreed!

The reason I posted this link to the Fans is to show that it was not a case of use being to odemanding and ungrateful to the Front Office.

I believe this ranking shows the perception of the team by the US soccer world. It is a team which management lack total ambition and is happy with a 12,000 average crowd in an empty cavernous stadium with little to no ambition.

We are not just paranoid or brat by pointing these things. We are just exposing the truth.
